Stroudsburg Busted Mugshots
Stroudsburg is the Monroe County seat. The 2020 Census counted 5,927 people. Policing falls to the Stroud Area Regional Police Department, which also covers East Stroudsburg and Stroud Township. Keep that in mind when you search. A local bust will not always carry a "Stroudsburg Police" label. The SARPD agency portal is the official-facing home for the agency's arrests, cases, news, warrants, and notifications.
Jail records sit in a separate layer. Anyone committed to county custody lands at Monroe County Correctional Facility, 4250 Manor Drive, Stroudsburg, phone (570) 992-3232. MCCF's public page offers no inmate lookup screen. There is no public roster either, and no stated booking-photo policy or upload schedule. An agency record can tell you an arrest happened without showing that the person ever entered MCCF or is still held there.
Keep the record types apart. Police accounts shift over time, and later court entries may show dismissal, withdrawal, a plea, a trial, or sentencing.
Stroudsburg SARPD Arrest Posts
The SARPD's CRIMEWATCH arrests page is a curated agency feed. It has no borough-only filter. Posts can pack in a lot: statutory charge titles or citations, age, race, gender, height, weight, hair and eye color, arrest date and location, incident type, a reference ID, narrative, and the arresting agency. Some entries add an agency photo. Others include later details on bail, arraignment, judge, or disposition. Posts can also be edited after the fact, including warrant and charge text.
All that detail makes a post handy for matching a name to an approximate event. It is not a daily county booking feed, though. SARPD does not promise every arrest appears. It sets no 24-hour publication deadline and says nothing about photos on every post. By the time you read an entry, the person may have been released, transferred, or placed on bail and no longer held locally.
| Source | Access | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| SARPD CRIMEWATCH | Official agency posts | Selected reported arrests, sometimes an agency image |
| MCCF public page | Facility contact information | No public name roster or photo policy found |
| UJS portal | Official court docket search | Later court proceedings, subject to public limits |
| County Police News | County-hosted news archive | Variable event coverage, not live custody |
Busted in Stroudsburg Lookup
Any solid lookup starts with exact identity details and a tight time frame. That way you avoid mixing up people with similar names. The right office can also find the record faster. This route sticks to the regional-agency and county-seat angle. For the formal MCCF and county request path, see the county-wide records treatment.
- Search SARPD's arrest posts by the person's name and read the full entry for location, date, agency, and reference information.
- For a current county-custody question, contact MCCF at its published number and follow its current public procedure. No official online roster was identified.
- For a police report, submit a specific written SARPD request. For an intake or county booking record, make a specific request to the county custodian instead.
- Open Pennsylvania's UJS public portal, choose Monroe County, and use the name with a docket, date, incident, or participant detail to narrow results.
A missing name or photo can mean many things. It might reflect a publication choice, a release, a transfer, a legal restriction, or the simple absence of a public county system. It does not prove no arrest occurred. Note: UJS search results can leave out juvenile, sealed, expunged, pending-expungement, limited-access, and destroyed cases.
Stroudsburg Court-Seat Follow-Through
Stroudsburg's county-seat status makes court follow-through matter more here than most places. An arrest post freezes an agency's account at one moment. The UJS portal lets you hunt for later docket events after selecting Monroe County. You can search by case number, participant name, organization, offense tracking number, police incident or complaint number, or state ID. A bare name search with the county picked usually beats a broad web hunt.
Read the labels with care. An arraignment, bail entry, continuance, nolle pros, withdrawal, dismissal, plea, trial listing, sentence, and conviction each carry their own meaning. A docket still will not tell you whether a booking photograph exists. Treat any disposition or bail field on an SARPD post as a lead to verify in UJS, not as the final word on a case.
County-seat status does not mean one tidy record per case. A matter can start with a police report and complaint. It may move through a magisterial district judge and only later show up in a common pleas docket when the public record allows. Use the actual docket number or police incident number when you have it rather than guessing from a narrative. A public case page can reveal events posted long after the arrest entry, which makes it the better source for later procedural status, within the portal's access limits.
- Booking
- County intake after an arrest or commitment, when applicable.
- Arraignment
- A court appearance addressing charges and release conditions.
- Disposition
- The later court result or status, not the initial arrest charge.
Stroudsburg SARPD Record Requests
Stroudsburg Borough has no police-records form of its own. SARPD handles the region. The agency's Right-to-Know instructions call for a written, specific request addressed to Chief Jennifer Lyon. The policy links a form and fee schedule, allows in-person and mail delivery, and lists fax and email channels. Two limits stand out. Investigations stay closed under the stated policy, and routine requests do not return CHRIA criminal-history information.

Start with the basics. Give the person's full name, a date range, and the location. Add any incident or reference number you have. Then say exactly what you want, whether that means a report, an agency image, or something else. Keep one thing in mind, though. A county booking photo may sit with a different custodian entirely. The Pennsylvania Office of Open Records offers advisory guidance for case-specific requests like this. That guidance does not unlock every photo automatically, and it cannot override sealing, expungement, juvenile protections, or investigation exemptions.
Stroudsburg Busted Booking Limits
The missing public MCCF interface is the biggest obstacle locally. The facility's official page covers operations only. There are no search fields, no roster results, no daily booking list, and no stated rule for how long anything stays posted after release or transfer. Don't lean on the county bench-warrant search as a stand-in. A warrant hit and a custody record answer two different questions.
Admission at the jail involves fingerprints, a photograph, a search, property handling, and an ID card, all described in the Monroe County inmate guidebook. So records clearly get created during intake. What the guidebook never says is when anything goes online or whether the public can get it. Ask MCCF or Monroe County directly, and put any request in writing with a narrow scope, your preferred format, and a fee estimate before chargeable work begins.
Build the request around specifics: full name plus any alias, the approximate arrest date and time, SARPD as the arresting agency, and a booking, incident, complaint, or docket number if you know one. List each item separately, the booking record, the booking date, charges as booked, commitment or release information, and the booking photograph. That focused approach works far better than a blanket demand for "all mugshots," and it lets the county redact protected material while still filling the nonexempt parts.
Note: A SARPD image labeled "Photo of" is an agency-post photo unless its source is specifically identified as a county intake photograph.
Stroudsburg Regional Arrest Records
Regional policing splits the records into two custodians. SARPD keeps the agency-side report and anything it posts about an arrest itself. MCCF and Monroe County handle the county side, the actual booking or intake record, when a commitment took place. The courts are a third source for outcomes. Mix these up and you can draw the wrong conclusion about who is in custody or how a charge resolved.
East Stroudsburg shares the SARPD system. Mount Pocono does not; it has its own regional department. A borough name in a police post doesn't shift the agency's boundaries or turn that post into a borough-only roster. For separate routes, use the city links in the sidebar.
Stroudsburg Busted News Sources
Start with official agency material. Beyond SARPD, the Monroe County Police News archive gathers selective stories from WBRE/WYOU, WOLF, 28/22 News, PSP, and local departments. It's a wide public-safety archive covering arrests, wanted people, fires, missing persons, video, and community issues. Timing there follows publication, not booking. No complete-bookings promise exists, and images vary, some are not jail photos at all.
Mugshots.com's Monroe County page ranks below the official sources for good reason. It's an unofficial historical resource. Its locality navigation includes Stroudsburg, but listings can be stale, spotty, or blank. It isn't MCCF, SARPD, the Sheriff, or UJS, so it can't verify current detention or a full record. For more on how local media differ, see Crime News.
SARPD's official agency portal is the source of the agency-reference image used here.
Use the portal to pull official notices, warrants, court filings, and news tied to Monroe County arrests. It will not, however, show a live MCCF custody roster or promise a photo for every booking.
